Bursa’nın İznik’e bağlı Hocaköy’de, tarlasını süren bir çiftçi pulluğuna lahit takıldı.
Dört medeniyete başkentlik yapmış tarihi kent İznik ilçesinde, çiftçinin pulluğuna lahit takıldı. Üzerinde haç deseni bulunan lahit, hemen yanında bulunan insan kemikleriyle birlikte ortaya çıktı. İznik İlçe Jandarma Komutanlığı tarafından koruma altına alınan lahit, İznik Müzesine bağlı arkeologlar tarafından incelenmeye alındı.
Lahitin içeriği ise büyük merak konusu oldu. Öte yandan, Papa Francis'in İznik'e geleceğinin açıklanmasının ardından, tarihi kentteki bu yeni keşif, bölgedeki ilgiyi daha da arttırdı.
